Snake in the Grass

Gonestan is like a snake in the grass, and there is basically three options.  2 of them might be good ; 1 definitely bad.  The 1st option, when one finds a snake in the grass, is to leave it the blank alone.  But if that is not possible because one has determined that, for whatever reason, the snake is a mortal threat and must die, then the 2nd option is, having decided that the snake has to go, to then ruthlessly use whatever means possible and destroy and kill the snake as quickly as possible.  But the ONE option, the option that one must NEVER do, is to play with the snake's tail.  Playing with a snake's tail only provokes and enrages it and causes it to lash out.  If one is not prepared or able to exterminate the snake, then one must leave it alone.  Lets stop playing with the snake's tail.
