Jacaranda TreeCan it be that time again already? How does it always sneak up on me? But they are beautiful. I wish I could see the residential area by Whittier College that has them on both sides of the street. I bet it is beautiful right now. :)

Last year I was just tickled to see those trees in bloom. The thing that got to me was that I don't remember them at all from when I grew up in Los Angeles. They were always there, but I just never noticed them, because I guess at the age I didn't appreciate them and kind of took it for granted. They are real jewels, especially when they pop up and add color to some dreary freeway "landscaping".
