We Planted the Garden This Weekend

Spring is almost here. It is screaming, "Hello I'm coming" as this weekend brought us sunny skies and warmer temperatures. I love global warming as spring arrives. That means its time to get into the garden. That is exactly what we did this weekend as we planted tomatoes, squash, broccoli, corn, and some peppers. I even planted some thyme and cilantro. No wet weather is expected for a week, yea!!! We still have some cool mornings ahead, but the daytime is bright and sunny.

Here was the plan:

Check out the tomatoes planters I made a month ago

Black bark continues to fill in the growing weeds

No digging Frodo, Bad Dog!

I measued out from the growies to the proper distance. Look at the little guys. They are so delicate

I planted the tomatoes. I hope this one produces tons of red things for the wife

Mulch has been put down, bark in larger areas, pull more weeds and covered them with bark. I still don’t have enough bark, Oh My!

Does anyone want to trade squash for something else? We have too much! We need more places to grow things honey. Where are we going to put the pomegranate? What else can we grow?

I’ll keep you posted on the garden progress. It keeps me from listening to happenings in Washington. Now where is my shovel? Brendan, did you hide the shovel?
